Eagle MPLS

Eagle MPLS is one of Minneapolis’ longest-running gay bars, with roots going back to the late 1990s and a longstanding connection to the city’s bear community.

The venue combines a neighbourhood bar, restaurant and nightlife space under one roof. Expect burgers, sandwiches and other American bar food, alongside karaoke, DJs, dancing, pool and regular themed nights. There’s also a large outdoor patio that becomes a major draw in warmer weather.

The crowd leans heavily gay male, with bears, older guys and regulars making up a noticeable part of the mix, although the bar attracts a broader LGBTQ+ crowd for karaoke and special events. It has more of a traditional gay-bar feel than some of Minneapolis’ newer mixed venues, and that history is a big part of its identity.

Eagle MPLS is in Downtown East, close to U.S. Bank Stadium and within easy reach of central Minneapolis.
