Manchester’s Gay Village is the historic heart of the city’s LGBTQ+ scene, centered on Canal Street and the surrounding streets including Sackville Street, Richmond Street and Bloom Street.

The neighborhood became increasingly associated with Manchester’s gay community during the late 20th century and remains the center of LGBTQ+ nightlife today.
