Crews And Tangos is one of Toronto’s most established drag bars, sitting right in the middle of the Gay Village on Church Street. Spread across two floors, the venue is known for big drag shows, loud music, and a campy party atmosphere.

The focus here is firmly on drag, with regular performances, karaoke nights, and a rotating lineup of local queens. It can get packed during popular shows and the dance floor is on the smaller side, but that only adds to the energetic, anything-goes feel that makes Crews And Tangos a Toronto gay nightlife classic.

Gay-owned, gay-run, and proudly independent; The Drink is a community favorite in Toronto and well-known for its fantastic offerings of LGBTQ+ entertainment. Known for its drag brunches, outdoor patio, and comfort food menu, O’Grady’s offers a more relaxed alternative to Toronto’s bigger dance bars. It’s a great choice when you want food, drinks, and a taste of the neighborhood atmosphere without leaving the Gay Village.

O’Grady’s is a wonderful spot to enjoy the joys of Toronto’s buzzing gay village. Church Street Garage brings together food, drinks, and entertainment in one of Toronto’s most recognizable LGBTQ+ neighborhoods. Part restaurant, part bar, and part late-night hangout, it’s a good choice when you want dinner first and a lively evening to follow.

Known for comfort food, cocktails, karaoke, drag performances, and live entertainment, Church Street Garage has become a welcoming spot for locals, regulars, and visitors exploring the Gay Village. With its casual atmosphere and mix of dining and nightlife, it’s an easy place to settle in before continuing your night along Church Street.

The vibe is laid back and unpretentious. You can dine on a range of hangover-friendly pub grub like burgers and mac and cheese.

You'll find a union jack coloured sofa and even Monty Python art on the walls. The patio on the second floor is good for people-watching.

Don't be fooled by the name, Hair of the Dog is one of Toronto's decidedly more upmarket queer venues. A gay bar and restaurant with extensive outdoor space, it's the perfect spot for intimate dinners and al fresco dining.

With a plethora of colorful cocktails, an impressively international collection of spirits, and an all-day license, it's the ideal place to spend the night or the morning after.

A Queen West favorite for nearly two decades, Sweaty Betty’s is a beloved neighborhood bar known for its laid-back atmosphere, quirky character, and welcoming crowd. Away from the main Gay Village strip, it offers a more alternative side of Toronto’s LGBTQ+ nightlife.

Inside, you’ll find mismatched furniture, local artwork, classic cocktails, and a relaxed crowd that mixes LGBTQ+ locals with the wider Queen West community. The heated patio is a popular spot for summer evenings, while the bar’s vegan food options and unpretentious vibe make it an easy place to spend a few hours with friends.

Described as the legendary rock 'n' roll dive bar, and an all-time favourite, Bovine Sex Club is a club that hosts music events; local artists play here and mix cutting-edge rock, retro 80s, metal and punk. Although it is not a bar specifically for LGBTQIA+ people, it is very welcoming to the community.

El Convento Rico has been drawing a big gay crowd since 1992. You'll hear a mix of Latin music along with the latest Billboard hits.

As well as sashaying drag queens, you'll see strutting strippers grinding on the dance floor and getting their kit off.

Drawing on pop-culture influences from throughout the decades, the venue attracts a super diverse crowd who flock to sample the impressive selection of themed drinks, comic-book cuisine, and ever-changing evening entertainment. Storm Crow is a fantastic choice for vegan diners, who will find an amazing range of plant-based culinary concoctions.
